Friday Update:Switch Fit Teased, Super Famicom Games Release, Physical Dragon Quest Trilogy, And More News!

● Nintendo uploaded a new video promising a new experience for Nintendo Switch owners with the full reveal coming next week (12 September). The video (posted (here) implies some kind of new interpretation of the Wii Fit games.

● The other top story today revolved around the new Super Famicom Nintendo Switch Online app which is now available offering 20 x Super Famicom games for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. The Family Computer Nintendo Switch Online app was also updated to Version 4.0.0 putting it line with its 16-bit brother where titles can now be arranged by release date, play time, and more.

● In other Nintendo Switch Online news: Nintendo are no longer committed to the monthly game release schedule for the retro titles with the new schedule seemingly an “as-and-when” approach. It’s unknown whether they will be more frequent from now or not. Check out the full list of 20 titles released today along with a few screenshots at this post.

● Entergram have postponed the release of Kaleidoscope of Phantasm Prison (Gensou Rougoku no Kaleidoscope) from 28 November to an unspecified date due to production reasons.

● Arc System Works have announced they will reveal the final five characters in the BLAZBLUE CROSS TAG BATTLE Special Edition Version 2.0 on 22 September. The characters already revealed include Akatsuki and Blitztank from Akatsuki Blitzkampf, Yumi from Senran Kagura, and Neo Politan from RWBY.

● The day one DLC for DAEMON X MACHINA includes both the Arsenal Crusader and six face parts. Check out the full details including pictures here.

ASTRAL CHAIN achieved the top spot in the Japanese Nintendo Switch eShop charts and is now the top-selling Switch game both physically and digitally for the past week. View the full top 10 for both Switch and 3DS here.

● The Sans Mii Fighter Costume has led to UNDERTALE being 33% off in Japan and is now priced at ¥1,085 until 19 September. I’ll catch-up with the full sales page (and schedule) this weekend.

● In related news: Toby Fox will be one of the composers for Game Freak’s upcoming RPG Little Town Hero along with Hitomi Sato. Check out a promo video for the game here.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw Julian’s Stardust Cookie restocked. Check out the full list of items including the featured giant planetarium and the special memory here.

Dragalia Lost saw the Wind-attuned adventurer upgrade event where the Windmaul Ruins (Beginner/Standard/Expert) event quest is open for the duration. Additionally, drop rewards you can obtain from Windmaul Ruins will be doubled.

Fire Emblem Heroes saw Special Heroes: A Splendid Soiree arrive featuring Ishtar: Thunder’s Waltz, Berkut: Debonair Noble, Nephenee: Sincere Dancer, and Reinhardt: Lightning’s Rondo. Nintendo Co., Ltd. stock increased today by +490 (1.20%) in Japan to close trading for the week at 41,450.00 JPY.

● Square-Enix Asia announced a physical package for 2019 including DRAGON QUEST, DRAGON QUEST II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line, and DRAGON QUEST III: The Seeds of Salvation in Traditional Chinese, Korean, and English. It’s unknown whether the Japanese eShop release will include these languages.

● Nintendo Sales Co., Ltd. today released four more Super Mario Travel goods including IC Card Case, Boo Eye Mask, Piranha Plant Folding Umbrella Cover, and Mario Sacoche Bag. View pictures of all four items and the prices here.

Nintendo Live 2019 attendees can have their photo taken with Tom, Timmy, and Tommy Nook front he Animal Crossing series, and Sobble, Grookey, Scorbunny, and Pikachu from the Pokémon series.

● Sega’s latest Tokyo Game Show stage schedule (posted here) will include for future SEGA AGES titles. It is expected these will include unannounced titles. Confirmed games include Fantasy Zone, G-LOC AIR BATTLE, Herzog Zwei, Puyo Puyo Tsu, Puzzle & Action: Ichidant-R, SHINOBI, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Thunder Force AC.
