First Wednesday Update:New Kirby Game Confirmed, Dr. Baby Peach, YouTube Service Ends, Plus More News!

● The first of two updates today. the second will be late and cover the eShop update, and more importantly the Nintendo Direct. In the top story of the day (thus far!), HAL Laboratory are recruiting for 10 positions for a new Kirby series game!

● The deadline for the application is 26 September and explicitly states it is for a new Kirby title. It does not state whether it will be for Nintendo Switch or smartphone however. Check out further details at this post.

● Interestingly, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate saw no spirit event nor tournament announced today. Expect the game to be featured in the Direct (Masahiro Sakurai has already plugged the presentation).

● Check out the box art for Bokura no Keshigomu Otoshi + Sports Set which releases on 21 November and which contains Our Flick Erasers, Desktop Soccer, and Desktop Ping Pong here.

● MAGES. confirmed that ANONYMOUS;CODE will still be coming to Switch, but in 2020 (it never was confirmed for this year, just not confirmed for next until now!

● The Japanese version of Minecraft finally updated to Version 1.12.1 which offers several bug fixes including where multiple Ender Dragons can no longer spawn at once in The End.

● The only Hamster title scheduled for this week is the 1988 Hamster beat ’em up Arcade Archives Vigilante. Check out the first screenshots here.

● Hachinoyon (8-4) will be providing a new Japanese translation for the PlayStation 4 version of Celeste which will be patched into the Japanese Switch version at some point.

● Google have removed the YouTube app From the Japanese 3DS eShop with immediate effect and the service has now ended. Wii U and Nintendo Switch owners still have access to it.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw a new Wall & Floor Collection including the awesome autumn wall and floor, and machinery wall. Check out the full list with pictured here.

Dr. Mario World will also see Dr. Baby Peach tomorrow who joinsthe previously announced Dr. Baby Mario and Dr. Baby Luigi. Check out how she looks here.

Fire Emblem Heroes saw Armoured Strike Quests aimed at teams of Heroes with the armoured movement type. The game will also see Special Heroes: A Splendid Soiree arrive on 06 September featuring Ishtar: Thunder’s Waltz, Berkut: Debonair Noble, Nephenee: Sincere Dancer, and Reinhardt: Lightnining’s Rondo. ● DeNA announced a compatibility issue with Pokémon Masters and Android 10.

Azure Lane Crosswave narrowly claimed the top spot in the Japanese software charts with 33,763 units sold. ASTRAL CHAIN opened in second place with 32,236. Not the worst result, but certainly not a huge success. Nintendo Switch hardware included three days of the model with improved battery life and all but tripled its sales with 90,553 units. ● The only Switch game reviewed in Weekly Famitsu Issue No 1605 is Super Cane Magic ZERO with 29/40 (incidentally, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne scored 37/40). Check out the full list of reviews here.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. stock soared today by +1,050 (2.59%) in Japan to close trading for the day at 41,580.00 JPY.
