Late Friday Update:If My Heart Had Wings, Japanese Rail Sim, And Super Chinese All Coming to Switch!

PULLTOP and Moenovel announced they will be porting the pictured visual novel If My Heart Had Wings (Kono Oozora ni Tsubasa wo Hirogete) to Nintendo Switch later this Summer.

● The August Nintendo Switch Online games for Japan will see Super Chinese and Downtown Nekketsu Koushinkyoku Soreyuke Daiundoukai with North America and Europe seeing Kung-Fu Heroes and Vice: Project Doom. Super Chinese marks the first Switch release for Culture Brain Excel who have been dormant for the past couple of years after attempting to resurrect the Choujin Baseball (Baseball Simulator) series on Nintendo 3DS. All four games release on 21 August. Check out the promo videos here.

● The Heroes vs Villains limited-time tournament is now live in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Check out the rules and full list of available fighters at this post.

● Sonic Powered announced they will be bringing a brand new entry in the Tetsudou Nippon! (Japanese Rail Sim 3D) series to Nintendo Switch in 2019. They’ve open up a here but little has been revealed.

● Level-5 released the large fire Version 1.3.0 update to Yo-kai Watch 4. Check out both promo videos for the update featuring Raidenryu and the Yougoku Sumo Hall here.

● Nintendo announced that over five million courses have been uploaded in Super Mario Maker 2. Try a couple more here.

● The packaged version of TETRIS 99 released today. Check out a Japanese magazine advert for it here.

● New information for Hatsune Miku Project DIVA MEGA39’s will be at Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2019 in Tokyo on the SEGA feat. HATSUNE MIKU Project 10th Anniversary Stage on 39 August at 13:00 JST.

● The latest Group Match is now live in Pokkén Tournament DX with a special Mewtwo title reward.

● Intragames announced the bullet-hell shoot ’em up Grand Brix Shooter for release on the Switch eShop on 29 August. Promo video posted here.

● Double Drive announced that the tower defence game Invasion of Alien X – Earth in Crisis (Wakusei Daisensou Iseijin X・Kyoufu no Chikyuu Shinryaku Tour) will release on the Switch eshop on 29 August priced at ¥1,200. Promo video posted here.

● Lab Zero Games will be bringing the ARPG Indivisble to Japan priced at ¥4,280. The Switch version is undated. Announcement trailer posted here.

● This week’s Nintendo Switch eShop charts (posted here) saw Fire Emblem: Three Houses as number one for the fourth week with Goonya Fighter second and Obakeidoro! debuting at number three.

Dragon Quest X Ibara no Miko to Horobi no Kami Online (Version 5) will be too large for a Premium Wii U as it will take up 32 GB of free space, up from the 24 GB of Version 4.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw the Sanrio Characters Collection #3 with a Kiki and Lala Cookie, Kerokerokeroppi Cookie, Sanrio Characters Crafting Collection, and Sanrio Characters Goals #3 with Étoile’s map and Toby’s map. Check out all the items plus three promo videos at this post.

Fire Emblem Heroes saw Special Heroes Revival: Festival in Hoshido (featuring Elincia: Estival Princess, Ryoma: Dancing Samurai, Micaiah: Summer’s Dawn, and Xander: Dancing Knight) and Daily Summoning Event: Heroes with Death Blow (featuring Siegbert: Future King, Delthea: Free Spirit, and Reinhardt: Thunder’s Sword).

● Sega Games opened up their Tokyo Game Show webpage with just Mario & Sonic AT Tokyo Olympics and Tokyo 2020 Olympics The Official Video Game listed for Switch.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition was the number one most wanted game again last week in the latest Famitsu Most Wanted. Check out the full Nintendo-only numbers and the Newcomers here.

● The first day sell-through for Sword Art Online Fatal Bullet COMPLETE EDITION in Japan is approximately 50% which seems fairly impressive, although it’s pretty meaningless without shipment numbers. Sword Art Online -Hollow Realization- DELUXE EDITION opened with 17,618 units sold.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. shares increased again today by +120 (0.31%) in Japan to close trading for the week at 39,440.00 JPY.

● A livestream for Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride will air on niconico on 17 August at 11:00. This is due to the Dragon Quest Your Story movie and unlikely an indication of the game being remade.
