Just a quick update: Dennoji Reto (Level-5’s official VTuber) announced that the original Yo-kai Watch game will be coming to Switch on 20 September in the video here. The game originally released on 3DS six years ago with a smartphone port announced for release later this year…

● Since I’ve had a ton of questions regarding the Yo-kai Watch announcement, here are a few answers: the reason I used the ‘Rumours’ image header and not ‘Breaking News’ is that this announcement came from Level-5’s VTuber (Virtual YouTuber) and not Level-5 directly, I’m 100% certain in what I wrote was what was said (it was verified for me by a native speaker), I do expect an official announcement from Akihiro Hino (the Level-5 CEO) shortly where I’ll then update the original post, I’m not convinced whether it will actually release on 20 September, but I do think it is coming to Switch.

● The Nintendo Switch game OCTOPATH TRAVELER celebrates its birthday today with this image from co-developers Acquire. Reservations are now open (here) for the new OCTOPATH TRAVELER Arrangements Break & Boost -Extend- album, and check out a new promo video for the upcoming OCTOPATH TRAVELER Break, Boost and Beyond concert (here).

● In mobile news: Fire Emblem Heroes saw an update to Special Maps: Rival Domains where this week, you’ll earn a bonus for defeating foes with cavalry allies, Dr. Mario World updated to Version 1.0.3 which implements bug fixes and includes balance adjustments, Super Mario Run saw the Weekend Spotlight: Retro Items event (list of items and appearance rates here), and Dragalia Lost saw a Daily Free Summon Event which will allow you to summon on the applicable summon showcase for free once per day, for three days.

● And in new videos: the English launch trailer for Dragon Quest Builders 2 here, the English announcement trailer for One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 here, the Asian promo video for Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Infinite Combate here, and a live broadcast for Fushigi no Gensokyo -Lotus Labyrinth- here (short version) or here (long version).
