● The top story of the week was the Nintendo Direct E3 2019 which began with Nintendo Co., Ltd. shares at the highest for eight months, but just two days later were down over 5%. The reason attributed was the delay of one of the signature titles for Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing: New Horizons from 2019 to 20 March 2020. That being said, the event was largely considered a success by Nintendo fans with the highlight being a full sequel announcement to the crtiical and commercial hit The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

● The aforementioned Animal Crossing: New Horizons may have seen a delay, but impressed fans of the series. Check out trailer, footage, and screens here.

● The Luigi’s Mansion 3 game didn’t get a final release date but is still scheduled for 2019 release. Check out the E3 trailer and gameplay footage here.

● One key title that did get a final release date was The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening that releases on 20 September 2019. Check out the trailer and footage here, box art here, and new link amiibo here.

● The next two DLC characters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate were announced with the Dragon Quest Hero (III, IV, VIII, and XI) is coming this Summer and Banjo & Kazooie this Fall. Check out the trailers for both here and here, and the new amiibo announcements here.

● Square-Enix announced a full 3D HD remake of the ARPG Seiken Densetsu III with the newly named TRIALS of MANA coming to Nintendo Switch in early 2020. Check out the trailer here.

● The other big third party announcement was Grasshopper Manufacture with No More Heroes 3 being revealed as a Switch exclusive, and releasing in 2020. Check out the trailer here.

● Konami announced a brand new entry in the Contra series with CONTRA ROGUE CORPS coming to Switch on 26 September. Check out the trailer and box art here.

● Ubisoft announced the Breath of the Wild-inspired Gods & Monsters for 25 February 2020 release (27th in Japan). Check out the trailer and screenshots here.

● Bandai Namco US/Level-5 announced the JRPG Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will release worldwide for Switch on 20 September. Check out the trailer and box art here.

● Taito announced Space Invaders Invincible Collection for 2020 release and includes Space Invaders, Space Invaders Part 2, MJ-12, Space Invaders DX, Space Invaders Extreme, and Space Cyclone.

● GungHo Online Entertainment announced the puzzle game Puzzle & Dragons GOLD for Switch, although no release date nor price at present.

● Square-Enix announced that DRAGON QUEST XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition will launch for Switch worldwide on 27 September along with a Lot Edition console bundle for Japan. Check out the latest trailer here.

● Sega Games announced that Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 will release this November and adds Skateboarding, Karate, Surfing, and Sport Climbing. Check out the E3 trailer here.

● Marvelous announced that DAEMON X MACHINA will release on 13 September. Check out the E3 trailer here.

● Forever Entertainment announced Panzer Dragoon: Remake for Nintendo Switch release this Winter. Check out the E3 trailer here.

● Bandai Namco Entertainment also announced that the sandbox RPG Ninja Box will release in Japan on 26 September. No localisation has been announced at present.

● Nintendo updated the the Family Computer Nintendo Switch Online app to Version 2.6.0 adding City Connection, Double Dragon II: The Revenge, Volleyball, and an SP version of TwinBee.

● Pocket also announced the pro-wrestling game Chiki-Chiki Boxy Pro Wrestling (or “Chikichiki Puroresu Dairantou!!” in Japan) for 27 June release on the eShop worldwide. Check out the trailer and screenshots here.
