● Both The Wall Street Journal and Eurogamer report that Nintendo are preparing two new Nintendo Switch models for launch this year. One is reportedly set to be an upgrade similar to the New 3DS from the 3DS with the other set to be cheaper and durable similar to the 2DS.

● Sega Games announced Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 (called ‘Mario & Sonic AT Tokyo Olympics’ in Japan) for worldwide release on Nintendo Switch this Winter with an arcade version planned for 2020. Check out the trailers at this post.

● Monolith Soft are publicly recruiting for a The Legend of Zelda game. Positions include Technical Artists, Programmers, Planners, Designers, and a Project Manager. Monolith Soft preciously helped out with Breath of the Wild, Skyward Sword, and A Link Between Worlds

● The second live presentation for Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete S (Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age – Definitive Edition) saw Square-Enix announce ‘Voice Drama’ DLC with full details to be revealed this June. Check out the full presentation at this post.

● Nintendo’s biggest game of Spring is now available for Nintendo Switch with Yoshi’s Crafted World. Check out how to make Yoshi paper craft here, the Weekly Famitsu advert here, a set of 24 x Yarn Yoshi & Poochy Stickers for both LINE and iMessage here, and the English launch trailer here.

● WayForward announced Shantae 5 for 2019 release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and the newly announced Apple Arcade. No further details are known at present.

● Sega also announced six new SEGA AGES titles for Nintendo Switch with the side-scrolling action platformer SHINOBI, action role-playing platformer Wonder Boy in Monster Land, the side-scrolling shooter Fantasy Zone, the puzzle party game Puzzle & Action: Ichidant-R, the real-time strategy game Herzog Zwei, and the 3D shooter G-LOC AIR BATTLE.

● In news that has been under-reported, City Connection Co., Ltd. announced that they have acquired Zerodiv Inc. who will become a subsidiary of the company. City Connection now effectively own the intellectual property of both the Jaleco and Psikyo brands.

● Katie arrived in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp for the new garden event, Katie’s Time Out. Collect sakuraflies to earn rewards including the event material, sakurapop, which is used to clear seasonal event goals during the A Blooming Announcement! seasonal event including the weeping-sakura tree, spring mochi, and long springtime skirt pictured here.
