Friday Update：Splatoon, Smash Bros., ARMS, And Animal Crossing Events This Weekend！

● In Splatoon 2 news: the game updated to Version 4.5.1 which fixed there issue occurring during Clam Blitz matches in Piranha Pit, where the game could crash. The Splatoon 2 Tokubetsu Taikenhan (Splatoon 2 Special Demo) is also now available on the Japanese Switch eShop which is playable from 26 March at 09:00 JST to 01 April at 08:59 JST where save data can be transferred over to the full version. A free seven day Nintendo Switch Online subscription will also be sent to each person that downloads.
● This weekend will also see the latest Splatfest for Splatoon 2 with the theme of Knights vs Wizards. Check out our dedicated post here.
● The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate spirit event this weekend is Green Is the New Black and includes Legend-class spirits Queen Metroid, Celebi, Link, and much more regular spirits detailed here.
● The final of the first party Switch games events this weekend is the ARMS Party Crash second round match-up between Max Brass and Twintelle. The winner will face Min Min in the semi-finals. The remaining two second round matches left are Ninjara vs Ribbon Girl and Mechanica vs Dr. Coyle.
● Konami’s Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Legacy of the Duelist：Link Evolution has been given a 25 April release date priced at ¥3,240. The low price could mean a digital only release although this hasn’t been confirmed.
● Takara Tomy Arts announced the second free DLC character for Zoids Wild: King of Blast with Hunter Wolf arriving this Summer. Check out the trailer for the new fighter here.
● Goku GT will soon be added to Dragon Ball FighterZ as paid DLC, where unleashing his special move, Super Kamehameha, can transform him into Super Saiyan 3.
● Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission will be getting a demo in Japan on 28 March, one week before the full game launches..
● Koei Tecmo Games opened up the Japanese website forShingeki no Kyojin ２ -Final Battle- (Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle) with the game priced at ¥8,424 or ¥5,184 if you own the original and just wish to download the expansion. Check out the first promo video too here.
● In some big Puyo Puyo eSports news – the game is currently on sale on the Japanese Switch eShop (and PlayStation Store) reduced by 74% and is back at the magic price of ¥500 (from ¥1,999) until 10 April. Sega also announced a free update for 20 March where the game will add a new Challenge Mode.
● Check out all the other Nintendo eShop sales at this page with 45 new games added, and this week’s Switch and 3DS charts here with The Battle Cats on top in both charts (incidentally, the mobile version has just surpassed 42 million downloads).
● The third fishing tourney of 2019 takes place this weekend in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
● The big event this weekend in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is the Fishing Tourney #12: Super Mario with some excellent Mario-related rewards. Check out more details of this event at this post.
● Super Mario Run saw the return of the Loads of Coins event until 29 March where winning at Toad Rally during this period earns you 1.5 times as many coins as usual.
● Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures applied for trademarks for the three Pokémon Sword／Shield starters (サルノリ／Sarunori, ヒバニー／Hibanny, and メッソン／Messon. Check out the actual applications (12 pages) at this post.
● Nintendo Co., Ltd. shares increased by -2.68% today to close trading for the week at ¥31,090.00.
● Yacht Club Games will announce a new published title at PAX East 2019 from 05-08 April.
● Chorus Worldwide will announce unreleased console titles at TOKYO SANDBOX 2019 on 06-07 April.
