● After the incredible success of Super Bomberman R on the Nintendo Switch, Konami have been pretty quiet other than last year’s announcement of Hyper Sports R and a localisation of Snake Pass to the Japanese Switch eShop. Hopefully this is about to change as Konami announced the card battling game Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Legacy of the Duelist:Link Evolution for Nintendo Switch with more information due in the V-Jump magazine out on 21 February.

● The penultimate first round match in the ARMS Party Crash Bash tournament saw Ribbon Girl defeat Misango 54%-46% and will take on Ninjara in the second round! See how the tournament is shaping up at this post.

● Bandai Namco Entertainment have updated Billion Road to Version 1.1.0 which aims to improve the tempo of the game including the ability to turn off the appearance of monsters, skip and fast-forward events etc. The demo version will soon be updated with similar tempo improvements.

● Mediascape will be publishing a demo for the rhythm fighting game PHRASEFIGHT on the Japanese Switch eShop ‘soon’. The full game is priced at ¥1,000. Promo video posted here.

● Onion Games’s side-scrolling shooter BLACK BIRD is currently 35% off on the Japanese Switch eShop until 11 February, and now priced at ¥1,280. Promo video posted here.

Karaoke JOYSOUND for Nintendo Switch sees a Love Song Special Feature with 12 new love songs added including Disney’s ‘A Whole New World’. Check out the full list at this post.

● Playchemy, headed by Ed Annunziata (Ecco the Dolphin and Nokia’s N-Gage) is releasing the real-time strategy game Space War Arena on the Nintendo Switch eShop in the West on 14 February. Check out the website for footage/screens.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw the second half of Pelly’s Flight of Passion Pelly begin with 20 x maroon bleeding heart seeds free for every player.

Fire Emblem Heroes saw Grand Hero Battle Revival: Walhart the Conqueror and Bound Hero Battle: Seliph & Julia both return, alongside the new Find & Vote Heroes (go here to vote).

● The Pokémon Co. have released a Pokémon TCG Card Dex app in Sweden and which will follow worldwide. The app allows you to browse all cards released since Sun & Moon, with your smart device camera allowing you to scan your own cards inside the app.

● This week’s COMG! rankings sees Kingdom Hearts III on top for the second week with 109 pts. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe is the top ranking Switch game with 56 pts. Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World managed 52 pts for the PS4 version and only 25 for the Switch. It’s a similar outlook at TSUTAYA with Fate/EXTELLA LINK again being the only new release to chart. The GEO rankings see the same top positions indicating this week’s charts outlook.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. shares rebounded by +5.01% today to close trading at ¥32,260.00 after their huge losses on Friday.

Kingdom Hearts III tops the UK charts this week while New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe went down to number six, followed by Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at seven and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at eight.

Windows Live are reporting that Microsoft wants to bring Xbox Live cross-platform gaming to Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, and more.

● Capcom Co., Ltd. reported an impressive third quarter with Monster Hunter: World surpassing 11 million units, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate enjoying “robust sales”, Mega Man 11 reported “strong sales”, Onimusha “off to a good start”, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection performed “strongly”, and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1+2 performed “well”.

● The next McDonald’s Happy Set (Happy Meals) for Japan begins this Friday (08 February) featuring both Curious George and Okaasan to Issho. Videos for both here and here.
