● Huge Splatoon 2 news as 10 weapons from Sheldon’s Picks in the original Splatoon were confirmed to arrive this year, along with a demo for Japan from 26 March-01 April (with data carrying over to the full game) and Splatfests until July 2019! Check out the new weapons at this post.

● In what is unconfirmed, Snake and Pokémon Trainer amiibo are in what looks like the newly released Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Official Guide in Japan. See the page for yourself at this post.

● GGBOYZ won the 4th Splatoon Koshien tournament in Tokyo, Japan over the weekend. See all the footage from this year’s tournament including the final at this post. This is the trophy they won!

● Team Smash Bomber reigned supreme in the second day two of the Smash Ball Cup from Tokyo, Japan and will go onto the national finals. Watch all the footage here.

● The first artwork for the upcoming Nippon Ichi Software detective game Satsujin Tantei Jack the Ripper (Murder Detective Jack the Ripper) is at this post.

● Jiren was confirmed as the next DLC for Dragon Ball FighterZ and chosen due to his popularity in Dragon Ball Super. More ‘team combinations’ are planned for the second season although other changes are more conservative, keeping the core game intact.

● New DLC was confirmed for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 for Nintendo Switch although no indication as to what. The Photo Mode in the final phases and will be ‘coming soon’ to the game.

● Plug In Digital will also publish Headbang Club’s upcoming shoot’em up × rhythm game Double Kick Heroes on the Japanese Switch eShop although no date was confirmed. Announcement trailer posted here.

SMITE is only playable on a Japanese Switch by purchasing the SMITE Founders Pack which carries the closed beta until the middle of March. Only after this will the free-to-play SMITE be available.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will undergo maintenance on Wednesday for four hours (Tuesday night PT) to make room for a new update to the game!

Fire Emblem Heroes saw both Bound Hero Battle: Elincia & Nephenee and Summoning Focus: Bound Hero Battle featuring the Heroes Elincia: Lost Princess and Nephenee: Fierce Halberdier, and also Ike: Brave Mercenary for the summoning event.

● Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 3 + Liberation Remaster has seen numerous retail listings for Nintendo Switch, supposedly releasing on 15 February 2019.

● A Nintendo Life interview with Virtuos regarding bringing some of the Final Fantasy series to Switch: “It was quite technically challenging because to make Final Fantasy work on Switch, we needed to convert it to 64GB… without impacting the performance.”
