● A Nintendo Switch system update is imminent and will add Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean to the home menu.
● Stella Pixel (a new company formed by Honeycomb Lab) have announced the classic style JRPG PRISMIA for Nintendo Switch.
● Grasshopper Manufacture published Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes on the Japanese Switch eShop today priced at ¥3,218.
● Rainy Frog published a demo for Score Studios’ puzzle game Piczle Colors on the Switch eShop worldwide, with the full game available on 31 January. Introduction video posted here.
● Sega Games said that SEGA AGES Puyo Puyo will include the overseas arcade version (with English voice acting) as well as the implementation of quick turn from the later games, and two button play.
● MAGES. announced a 2CD ROBOTICS;NOTES DaSH Original Soundtrack for 13 February priced at ¥3,240 and including 32 songs. Check out the sleeve design here.
● Arc System Works updated the character page of the Wizard’s Symphony website adding three new etc (sub) characters – Vasileus, Malicia, and Methuselah.
● And Sega updated the character page of the BLADE ARCUS Rebellion from Shining website adding two new characters – Excela and Zest.
● Wright Flyer Studios opened up the official website for Tsuri Suta World Tour (Fishing Star World Tour). The game will also be receiving a download card. Check out the design here. Fishing Star has also confirmed for worldwide release on the 31st.
● A Sword Art Online -Hollow Realization- DELUXE EDITION News Channel has opened up in the Nintendo Switch system News page. The box art has also been added to this post.
● In a follow up from yesterday: SMITE Founder’s Pack is now available to preload on the My Nintendo Store priced at ¥3,382 and allows players to access the closed beta on 24 January. A free basic version of SMITE will also be available on the 25th, although isn’t available for preload.
● And the Nintendo eShop charts will be posted later on this evening but New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe has overtaken The Battle Cats!

● Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw new Shell Goals where you collect coral, conch shells, scallop shells, and a pearl-oyster shell to earn 45 x Leaf Tickets, Timmy’s fortune cookie, Isabelle’s café cookie, and Hamlet’s chilly cookie.
● Fire Emblem Heroes saw a new map in Tactics Drills: Grandmaster. The issue affecting how the number of First Summon Tickets in a player’s possession was being displayed has been addressed.
● The Pokémon GO Special Weekend by SoftBank, which was scheduled to be held last year, will instead be held on Saturday, 23 February, and will see increased spawns of Charmander and Unown letters S & B.

● In the biggest Mortal Kombat 11 news: Baraka, Sonya, Scorpion, Geras, Sub-Zero, Skarlet and Raiden are all confirmed for the game. Official gameplay reveal trailer here.
● Rising Star Games confirmed Game Freak’s GIGA WRECKER Alt. as coming to Nintendo Switch this year with a physical run also announced. Announcement trailer here.
● Nippon Columbia’s animal party game Waku Waku Doubutsu Land, which released in Japan last Summer, will be localised by Aksys Games at retails and on the eShop on 28 March as FUN! FUN! Animal Park priced at $29.99
● SOEDESCO and 3DClouds dated the racing game Xenon Racer for 26 March 2019 with a physical version confirmed. Release date trailer here.
● Play-Asia/Eastasiasoft will be releasing a physical version of Oniken + Odallus Collection (one cart containing both games) in Q2 2019 with preorders open here from 24 January.
● And this just in: Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid will be coming to consoles (including Switch!) in April 2019. Announcement teaser here.

● Nintendo Co., Ltd. shares increased by a further +3.79% today to close trading at 33,150.00, the highest level since early December.
● Japan’s Independent Institute Inc. applied for new image trademarks including for “program for home videogame machine”. Not sure if this will amount tp anything but the characters (here, here and here) are pretty cute!
