● Super Smash Bros. Ultimate became the new fastsest selling Switch title selling 1,238,358 with Famitsu and 1,220,535 with Media Create (both numbers exclude digital. Nintendo Switch hardware is now at over six million units sold in Japan, and Pocket Monsters: Let’s Go! Pikachu/Eevee has also become the latest domestic million seller for Nintendo Switch.

● Nintendo updated Family Computer Nintendo Switch Online to Ver. 2.0.0 adding the three previously announced games along with both Dr. Mario Shiruhitozoshiru UFO Chokuzen Version (Dr. Mario: The UFO cover-up) and Metroid Kessen! Ridley Version (Metroid: The decisive battle against Ridley). Screenshots and more information posted here.
● PONOS announced that the Nintendo Switch version of The Battle Cats, Futari de!Nyanko Daisensou will release on the Japanese eShop next week (20 December) priced at ¥999. Check out the official website along with promo video.
● Nintendo updated Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to Ver.1.2.0 (details here) and saw the the Spectacled Spirits event (details here).
● Nintendo also updated Mario Tennis Ace(s) to Ver.2.1.1 with Changes to Online Tournament, Court Adjustments and Other Changes including fixing the issue of a black board appearing behind P2 Petey Piranha.
● Activision announced Crash Bandicoot Racing – Buttobi Nitro! (Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled) will release in Japan in 2019 (21 June is the expected date). Japanese trailer posted here.
● FuRyu announced that Caligula Overdose (The Caligula Effect: Overdose) will release in Japan on 14 March 2019 priced at ¥7,538 with the Switch version including all 12 DLC from the PS4 version. Promo video posted here.
● Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that Super Robot Taisen T (Super Robot Wars T) will release in Japan on 20 March 2019 priced at ¥9,288 for the standard edition and ¥13,608 for the limited. Early purchase benefit and new promo video posted here.
● And Hamster announced their latest batch of ACA NEOGEO games for Nintendo Switch beginning with Puzzle Bobble (20 December), plus Puzzle Bobble 2, The King of Fighters 2002, Ragnagard, The Ultimate 11: SNK Football Championship, NINJA MASTERS’ ~Haou Ninpou Chou~ and Kizuna Encounter.

● Mario & Luigi RPG3 DX (Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey) preloads are now live on the Japanese 3DS eShop priced at ¥5,378 and requiring 5,349 blocks.
● Bandai Namco Entertainment permanently reduced the price of Dragon Ball Z: Chou Kyuukyoku Butouden (¥6,145 → ¥3,024), Dragon Ball Fusions (¥6,156 → ¥3,024) and Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission X (¥6,156 → ¥3,024) on the Japanese 3DS eShop.
● Five new vocaloid themeswere added to the Japanese 3DS Theme Shop featuring Mafumafu, Umetora, Utsu-P, MARETU and 164. Trailers posted here.

● The reimbursement period for unused Wii points from the termination of the Wii Shopping Channel is from 10: 00 JST on Wednesday 20 February, 2019 to 17:00 JST on Friday 30 August, 2019.

● Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp saw the Gyroidite Scavenger Hunt #6 begin with Toy Day gyroidite and clothes detailed at this post. Bianca, Flurry, Diana, Aurora and Fang all arrive soon!
● Dragalia Lost updated to Version 1.3.0 and added High Brunhilda to Advanced Dragon Trials, Chapter 7 of the main story, Trek to the Aquapolis, a Year-end bonus and much more detailed in full at this post.
● Fire Emblem Heroes updated to Version 3.0.0 with Book III featuring New Heroes Eir: Merciful Death, Hel: Death Sovereign, Líf: Lethal Swordsman and Thrasir: Omnicidal Witch, new Mythic Heroes, four new Seasons (Light, Dark, Astra and Anima) and much more. ● The Pokémon GO Holidays 2018 begin on 19 December with more frequent Ice-type Pokémon including Jynx, Sneasel, Swinub, Snorunt, Spheal, and Snover, as well as a festive hat-wearig Pikachu and the return of Delibird!

● Philippino indie developer Keybol Games announced four Switch games with the platformer Jack Axe, the simulation RPG Grand Guilds, the 2D action shooter High Noon Revolver and the vertical platformer Ninja Catto.
● Bertil Hörberg announced that the Gunman Clive HD Collection has been submitted to Nintendo ready for release on Switch.

● Charles Martinet tweeted that he has received a Guinnes World Record for most video game voiceover performances as the same character – 100, as Mario – on 7 December 2018 upon the release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
● Tentacles (Off the Hook) will be performing live at Tokaigi (Game Party Japan 2019) on 26 January at 17:00 JST (00:00 PT), and will stream live on niconico.
● Columbus Circle announced the rhythm game 8BIT Rhythm Land for Famicom release in February 2019 priced at ¥5,378 with four mini-games included (Running Girl, Music Baseball, Hades Rhythm and Cosmolien) and 20 songs (including Yugo Koshiro). Promo video posted here.
