● Lizardcube, Guard Crush Games and Dotemu announced Streets of Rage 4 featuring hand-drawn visuals. No platforms have been revealed but check out the trailer here.

● Nippon Ichi will also release the cute 2D action RPG Lapis・Re・Abyss on Nintendo Switch on 29 November priced at ¥7,538. Box art and teaser artwork added here.

● Sega confirmed that both SEGA AGES Sonic the Hedgehog and SEGA AGES Thunder Force IV have been postponed from August to September in order to improve the quality.

● Prototype’s visual novel game Sangoku Rensenki ~Otome no Heihou!~ will release for Switch on 22 November priced at ¥6,912. Box art added here.

● Nintendo confirmed that Xenoblade 2 will be updated to Ver.2.0.0 on 14 September alongside Kogane no Kuni Ira (Torna – The Golden Country).

● The Nintendo Switch version of Boku no Academia: One’s Justice (My Hero On’e Justice) outsold the PlayStation 4 version at GEO, COMG! and Tsutaya stores across Japan in its opening week.

● Atlus announced that shipments of the package version of Sekaiju no Meikyuu X (Etrian Odyssey Nexus) continued in succession over the last week and this weekend.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp should see both Molly and Cobb arrive tomorrow. A new Autumn event was also teased in the image here. Players had also caught 1,938,838 horned dynastids during the All Together Now…Horned Dynastid Event by earlier today, with three million needing to be caught by 30 August for all players to receive 50 Leaf Tickets!

Fire Emblem Heroes saw Grand Conquests pre-registration open with the event starting on 29 August where, this time, the battlefield is the continent of Jugdral from the Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War game! Legendary Hero (Marth: Hero-King) will also join the battle tomorrow for a Legendary Hero Summoning Event and Legendary Hero Battle! Trailers added here.

● The JOJO’s Pitter-Patter Pop! game that we covered a few weeks ago is coming to iOS and Android with a companion app now out in Japan.

● Nintendo announced a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Edition Nintendo Switch Pro Controller that will be available both separately or as a Special Edition with the game. Pictures added here.

● Forks beat Spoons 2-1 in the North American Splatfest losing Votes 46.80% – 53.20%, winning Solo 51.62% – 48.38% and Team 50.31% – 49.69%.

● Muse Games’ arcade brawler Hamsterdam has been funded on Kickstarter for Nintendo Switch!

● FDG Entertainment revealed that Nintendo Switch sales of Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King have now surpassed Steam sales by a factor of 20. The game is still yet to release in Japan.

● Several Japanese retailers have listed a Nintendo Classic Mini Double Pack for release on 15 September priced at ¥15,077, including both Classic Mini variations of the Family Computer and Super Famicom, and a Nintendo USB AC adapter.

● The new anime series Inazuma Eleven: Orion no Kokuin will begin airing on Friday’s from October.

● Kakehashi Games announced they will be localising The Arcade Crew’s upcoming RPG beat-em-up Young Souls for Japan although platforms have not yet been confirmed. Announcement trailer added here.
