● Taito announced their return to the home console business with Darius Cozmic Collection announced for 28 February 2019, The Ninja Warriors AGAIN for 2019, and a mystery third game. More titles will depend upon sales of these first three.
● Nintendo announced a global Splatoon 2 one year anniversary Splatfest for 21-22 July with the theme of Squid vs. Octopus. Voting is now open.
● The second huge update to Kirby Star Allies will arrive on 27 July 2018 and adds Daroach, Dark Meta Knight, Adeleine & Ribbon to the game!
● Nippon Columbia announced their second Nintendo Switch Sumiiko Gurashi game with Sumikko Gurashi: Atsumare! Sumikko Town releasing on 04 October.
● Spike Chunsoft announced the detective adventure game AI: The Somnium Files for Nintendo Switch, which is the latest project from Kotaro Uchikoshi (Zero Escape).
● Harukaze announced the visual novel Nora to Oujo to Noraneko Heart HD VERSION (Nora, Princess and Stray cat) will be coming to Nintendo Switch on 25 October.
● Nippon Ichi announced Yomawari to Shinya Mawari for Nintendo Switch (Yomawari: The Long Night Collection) for Japanese release on 25 October.
● Nintendo announced three new New Nintendo 2DS LL designs for Japan with special Minecraft, Animal Crossing and Mario Kart 7 editions.
● Nintendo also announced a Nintendo 3DS Ultra Summer Sale running from 19 July – 31 August with over 500 games on sale on the eShop.
● Capcom announced Monster Hunter Frontier ZZ for Fall release, although is expected to skip Wii U for the first time since 2013.
● Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp was updated to Version 1.6.0 increasing friendship levels, the Bloomin’ Booty with Kapp’n, plus new bugs, fish, and shells.
● Fire Emblem Heroes saw Bound Hero Battle: Hector & Matthew, Summoning Focus: Bound Hero Battle, Summoning Focus: Heroes with Luna and more.
● Super Mario Run saw the appearance rate of 5★ items in the Bonus Game in Remix 10 increas with more chance to get a 5★ Mario, Peach, Bowser statues.
● Pokémon GO celebrated its second anniversary with more Pikachu and Pichu, including “Summer Style” Pikachu, plus Pikachu Fan Avatar items.
● Bandai Namco Entertainment have rated Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ’n’ Fun! for Nintendo Switch in Australia.
● A WarioWare Gold demo was made available on the European 3DS eShop.
● NIS America announced they will be localising the JRPG Anata no Shikihime Kyouikutan as The Princess Guide in 2019.
● NIS America confirmed RPG Maker MV is coming to Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe in 2019.
● NIS America also announced The Caligula Effect: Overdose is coming to Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe in early 2019.
● Lab Zero Games announced the 2D hand-drawn fighting game Skullgirls 2nd Encore will be coming to Nintendo Switch.
● Digital Extremes announced the cooperative, sci-fi action game Warframe is coming to Nintendo Switch with Panic Button handling the port.
● Nintendo Co., Ltd. stock crashed by 5.27% on Wednesday with relative sluggish sales for the quarter feared and a lack of new hit software.
● Nintendo, Creatures and Game Freak applied for a new 3D trademark in Japan for the Monster Ball Plus (Poké Ball Plus).
