Weekly News Update with all the week’s Japanese Switch, 3DS, Wii U and Mobile news!

● Capcom have begun development on a Gyakuten Saiban (Ace Attorney) game for Switch with other titles coming too from the next fiscal year.
● Capcom also announced that Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. will be updated to ver 1.3.0 on 15 November adding Video Capture.
● The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was updated to Ver. 1.3.3 adding the Xenoblade 2 side quest and compatibility with the four new amiibo.
● SystemSoft Alpha announced they will be bringing their turn-based strategy game Daisenryaku Perfect 4.0 to Switch on 22 March fort ¥8,424.
● Hamster will release Irem Arcade Archives with Zippy Race coming later this year priced at ¥823 and R-Type, Front Line plus likely more to follow.
● Square-Enix promised to ‘aggressively make games for Switch’ earlier this week and that they won’t rule out any of their IP’s.
● Bandai Namco Entertainment say they have three big exclusive Switch titles releasing between Spring and Summer 2018.
● The fourth Japanese Splatfest saw lemons as the most popular (54%) but only saw 49% success in both the solo and team match-ups.
● FullPowerSideAttack announced that they are bringing their unique 2D platformer/action/puzzle game TorqueL to Switch.

● Nintendo have announced three Double Packs releasing in Japan on 1 January 2018 priced at ¥5,000 per pack with Tobidase Doubutsu no Mori amiibo+・Tomodachi Collection: New Life Double Pack, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D・Fire Emblem Awakening Double Pack and Luigi Mansion 2・Mario Tennis Open Double Pack.
● A mystery new 3DS game Bakuchou Bar Hunter with barcode reader and fishing reel is apparently coming to the system in 2018 according to this story.

● The Super Mario Run and Super Mario Odyssey collaboration is currently underway and will run until 28 November. Check the full list of available statues during the event here .

● The next North American Splatfest was announced with Team Sci-Fi vs. Team Fantasy kicking off on Friday 17 November at 21:00 PT.

● Hulu became available on the North American Switch eShop earlier this week joining niconico as the second video streaming app on the platform..

● Miiverse permanently closed earlier this week on the website’s fifth anniversary.
● Nintendo Co., Ltd. have applied for a number of new videogame related trademarks including Super Mario Odyssey, Cappy, a Famicom controller, amiibo, The Legend of Zelda, Splatoon, Animal Crossing, Super Smash Bros., Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, Pokemori and Marika.
