Tuesday News Update with Xenoblade 2 Direct details, Rex costume for Link, Bamco promise new Switch titles, plus more news!

● Today’s Xenoblade 2 Direct saw dual (Japanese and English) audio announced with a free DLC voice pack. A retro Tiger Tiger mini-game will be playable in order to enhance blades. An Expansion Pass was announced priced at ¥3,000 with items in December, quests in January, a blade in Spring, challenge mode in Summer and new Story content in Autumn. ● Also announced at the Xenoblade 2 Direct, there will be a The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild tie-in with a special ‘Rex’ costume for Link in a special side quest on Thursday for both the Switch and Wii U versions.
● From Takashi Mochizuki of The Wall Street Journal: Nomura Securities expect 23 million Nintendo Switch consoles sold in the next financial year and 115.8 million by March 2023.
● The Wall Street Journalist also reported Bandai Namco Entertainment President Mitsuaki Taguchi admitting surprise at the success of the Switch so expect more software from them in 2018 with three big exclusive Switch titles from Spring to Summer already confirmed!
● 5pb. will publish the visual novel game Steins;Gate Elite for Nintendo Switch (and both PS4 and Vita) on 15 March 2018 priced at ¥8,424.
● There will be three free IC Card stickers with the retail version of VOEZ.

● Super Mario Odyssey opened with around 115,000 sales in France which is higher than Super Mario 3D World (80,000) and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (97,000).

● Grezzo are currently recruiting for a new project with ‘Legend’ in the title of at least the recruitment process. They also did something similar with The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D.
