Tuesday Update with Super Smash Bros. rumours, Famicom-style adventure game announced, and more Famicom Minis!
● The Nintendo Direct links for tomorrow are here for YouTube and here for niconico. Image comes from the Smash Bros. website as ‘Super Smash Bros.’ was tagged in the original YouTube posting. Whether for a reason or accidentally we shall find out tomorrow!
● Ise Shima Mystery Annai: Itsuwari no Kuro Shinju was announced by Japanese publisher Happy Meal as coming to Nintendo 3DS this Fall priced at ¥980. The game is a retro suspense adventure done entirely in the style of a classic Famicom game!
● Nintendo announced that the Nintendo Classic Mini: Family Computer will see a further production run and the Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Famicom will be stocked into 2018. Pre-orders for the latter open this Saturday.
● Publisher Left Foot Games announced that “Currently, we are developing 3 mobile games and Nintendo Switch games.” Expect the first showings at the Tokyo Game Show!
● Nintendo Switch sales resume on the My Nintendo Store on 20 September at around 12:00 with delivery expected from 1 – 5 November.
● Super Mario Odyssey will be playable at three venues across Japan in the coming weeks. Go to this post if you will be in Japan and are interested!
● Tomorrow’s issue (#1502) of Weekly Famitsu will feature Metroid: Samus Returns, Ise Shima Mystery Annai, Great Ace Attorney 2, Winning Post 8 2017 and Champion Jockey Special. Next week’s promises ten reveals!
● Review scores in Famitsu have League of Evil with 29/40 (7778 ), The Girl and The Robot with 27/40 (6777) and Oekaki Puzzle: Pic-a-Pix with 27/40 (7776).
● FDG Games tweeted “We can also confirm Switch being a great home 4 Indies! Oceanhorn sold more copies on Nintendo Switch than all other consoles combined. <3”.
