Weekly News Update with all the week’s Japanese Switch, 3DS, Wii U and Mobile news!
● Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. is now available (and is ace!). The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild collaboration comes on 1 September.
● The pictured Pokkén Tournament DX demo is also available but only allows for 15 fights and 3 playable characters (Pikachu, Empoleon and Charizard).
● Bandai Namco Entertainment are porting the Wii U version of the board game Gotouchi Tetsudou for Nintendo Switch this Winter with some new content.
● Splatoon 2 has sold over a million (1,013,842 to be exact) retail copies in Japan as of one week ago which is a ratio of 68.51% Nintendo Switch owners.
● The Nintendo Switch version of Rocket League will feature exclusive Mario, Luigi and Samus Battle-Cars at launch as free unlockables.
● Monolith Soft are recruiting for a new action game that is ‘an ambitious project different from the brand image of Monolith Soft’.
● Nintendo Switch now accepts PayPal payments. You can also pay via PayPal on the Nintendo official website. PayPal is region locked however.
● HAL Laboratory announced a new mobile studio called HAL Egg with their first mobile game scheduled for this Fall.
● Koei Tecmo announced Shin Sangoku Musou 7: Empires (Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires), Sengoku Musou: Sanada Maru (Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada) and Musou Orochi 2 Ultimate (Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate) for Nintendo Switch for 9 November.
● FuRyu announced a new Shin Chan game for Nintendo 3DS called Crayon Shin-chan Gekiatsu! Oden wa ~ Rudo Dai Konran!! and scheduled for 30 November.
● And Konami announced a PriPri Chi-chan!! game for Nintendo 3DS called PriPri Chi-chan!! PriPri Deco Mu! and scheduled for 16 November.
● Nintendo released 12 new Super Famicom games for the New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console. Check out the full list of titles with trailers here.
● Nintendo are holding a huge Nintendo eShop Summer Sale 2017 until 4 September with over 50 games discounted. Go here for the full list.
● Sega Games confirmed that Sonic Forces will release on Nintendo Switch in Japan on 9 November priced at ¥6,469.
● Warner Japan also confirmed that LEGO Worlds: Mezase Master Builder is releasing in Japan on 22 November priced at ¥3,996.
● Electronic Arts announced that they will be publishing the awesome looking Fe worldwide on Nintendo Switch in early 2018.
● A Pokémon GO data-mining has uncovered Generation 3 Pokémon from Ruby and Sapphire along with several new items and is expected later this year.
● The October issue of CoroCoro Ichiban magazine features a four-frame ARMS Sugo Ude Gag Fight! comic strip. Sample pages here.
