Friday Update with Pokémon Gold and Silver getting a retail package, Jaleco trademark, Classic Squiffer and more! 

Pocket Monsters Gold and Silver will release as a download card and on the eShop (for ¥1,200), and as a packaged version with fridge magnet, stickers and a poster (for ¥1,500). The download cards are available from 4 September, pre-loading on the eShop will be from the 14th with the game(s) available from the 22nd. The game’s will be compatible with Pokémon Bank from 17 November. Pictures of the packaged version here.

City Connection have applied for trademarks for Jaleco (they do legally own the IP) and for Game Tengoku.

Splatoon 2 will add the Squiclean α (Classic Squiffer) in a few hours time with Point Sensor as Sub Weapon and Ink Armour as Special Weapon.
