Monday Update with Splatoon anime, BlazBlue for consoles, new Switch puzzle games, free 3DS theme and more!

Splatoon will see a web anime courtesy of CoroCoro and starting 12 August. It will be based on their manga serialisation and is expected to have the art-style of the above image (taken from the comic).

BLAZBLUE CROSS TAG BATTLE was announced yesterday and is “A dream cross-over 2D fighting game will arrive on console in 2018! Look forward to the tag team battle that no one has ever imagined!“

● Collavier will releases three Nintendo Switch puzzlers in the coming weeks with: Physical Contact: SPEED (on 20 July), Physical Contact: 2048 on (27 July), and Physical Contact: Picture Place (on 3 August).

Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete will see an exclusive 3DS theme free in a few hours. There’s 7 new TV commercials (here) and some desktop/mobile wallpaper and Twitter icons (here) too.

● Both ARMS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be added to the line-up as Nintendo’s two entries at EVO Japan 2018 which will be held at Akihabara UDX from 26 – 28 January 2018.

COMG! sales have Hey! Pikmin with 111 and Ever Oasis with 29. Preorders are Splatoon 2 with 890 and Dragon Quest XI (3DS version) with 517.

Levels+ : Addictive Puzzle Game will see a patch this month making the colour of the dialogue, the score and the board easier to see (the developer sees it as too dark).
