Monday Update with ARMS update, SNES Classic, mystery amiibo, Snack World delayed, plus more news!
● ARMS was updated to Version 1.1.0 adding LAN Play and Arena and Spectator Modes plus several bug fixes. The next big free update is in July adding Max Brass as a playable character.
● The lead image tomorrow will be the Japanese version of the SNES Classic Edition! The North American and European versions release on 29 September with 21 games. Full list plus pics here.
● The html of the Nintendo website has a space missing for a Super Mario Series amiibo in-between Bowser and Goomba with the image link going to a ‘Now Printing’ image.
● Nintendo Co., Ltd. stock is up another 2.19% and closed trading today at 39,280. It’s at yet another new highest level since early October 2008.
● The Snack World: Trejarers has been postponed by Level-5 from 13 July until 10 August 2017.
● Physical Contact Speed which is supposed to release on the Switch eShop this Thursday now has no release date listed on its most recent trailer.
● Nintendo have applied for trademarks for the Splatoon 2 ‘2’ logo and ‘Squid’ images for merchandising purposes. And Sega Games have applied for Amazing SEGA and 千閃戦記 (literally ‘A Thousand Flash Record’) trademarks.
● Nintendo Switch uses eSOL’s μITRON 4.0 compliant real-time OS and exFAT file system in its NFC (Near Field Communication) within the Joy-Con controller and provides a file operation function to read and write data at high speed for all the microSD cards.
● The Japan Post Office will release a set of ten Super Mario stamps this Wednesday (28 June) priced at ¥820. Pictures here!
● Capcom have started a ‘Capcom Summer Campaign 2017’ with retail copies of Monster Hunter Stories Ver.1.2, Day Gyakuten Saiban 2 (and the 1&2 Limited Edition) and Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. containing a code where you could win a 40” TV, PS4 Pro, PS VR, Switch, New 3DS LL and many other prizes.
● Monster Hunter XX will collaborate with JOYSOUND Karaoke with Phase 1 from 30 June -24 August and Phase 2 from 25 August 25 – 1 October 1. There will also be a Miracle ☆ Mil & Caty release on 20 September priced at ¥1,620 retail and ¥1,296 digital.
● Fire Emblem Heroes added a Summoning Focus: Heroes with Fury event today with Eldigan: Lionheart, Jagen: Veteran Knight and Bartre: Fearless Warrior.
● The Alliance Alive opened with 81 pts on COMG!, week two of ARMS was 47 pts. In pre-orders: Splatoon 2 is 723 pts and Dragon Quest XI: Sugisarishi Toki o Motomete 377 pts.
● We’ve heard that both Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. from Capcom and Sonic Forces from Sega will run at just 30fps on Nintendo Switch.
