Thursday Update with Spelunker demo, today’s releases, Square excited for Switch plus more news!
● Minna de Wai Wai! Spelunker now has a playable demo on the Switch eShop! I really enjoyed the 10 minutes I had with it. Check out a new trailer and commercial here.
● Nintendo owners have lots of other stuff to play today with ACA NEOGEO ASO II ~Last Guardian~ now available on Switch, Kawaii Pet to Kurasou! Wan Nyan & Mini Mini Animals now available on 3DS and 8BIT MUSIC POWER FINAL available on Famicom!
● Square Enix CEO Yosuke Matsuda spoke with Nikkei saying they want to see success for Nintendo Switch and aim to develop both new titles and release existing titles to the platform.
● Kamiko will almost certainly be localised after the Circle Ent. logo was used in the recent trailer. The trailer also now states Q2 so we may not see it this month after-all.
● Nintendo Co., Ltd. are recruiting a number of new graphic designers for their Kyoto home.
● Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 Professional is now at Version 1.2 and features a free collaboration event with the manga Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibōken.
● Taiko no Tatsujin: Dokodon! Mystery Adventure sees a free song (Odori and Drum Dance) today until 10 May where it will then cost ¥162. There’s also a five song DLC pack available for ¥540 including ‘Wings of Tomorrow’ from God Eater 2, ‘Abandoned Temple Final 2nd’ from Tekken 7 FR, Charlie Dash! and a couple of Namco originals.
● Super Mario Run players can get a free Super Star Statue as today’s log-in bonus.
● Miitomo added new items to Miitomo Drop – Daily Decorations including Damask, Tartan, Retro Square and Jungle Wallpaper plus Crocodile Flooring and Laminate Flooring with a Daisy Rug.
● Collectible Badge Center sees its first update later today since the Crazy Galaxy ‘announcement’. Check back on the front page shortly!
