Weekend News Update with all the weekend Japanese Nintendo related news!
● The lead pic is from the Nintendo NYC Instagram page. Incidentally the second floor of Nintendo NYC will be closed on the 12th and from 13:00 on the 13th of February. This is probably all innocent but I am expecting a Nintendo Direct in the next week or two (actually, we need one as so much more Nintendo Switch information needs to be revealed) regardless.
● Splatoon 2 will feature LAN Play and Private Battle Spectator View. Full details and a new trailer here. Check out the frontpage for news of the Global Testfire too!
● At least the initial shipment of Nintendo Switch hardware shipments will be increased (thanks to Chris1964).
● A new The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild screenshot with the description ‘Koroks are back in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’ here.
● A Monster Hunter Sticker App is now free on iOS, Android and iMessages. Check out links for all three here.
● A Mario Sports Superstars ‘Hole in one’ trailer from Nintendo UK here
● Nintendo tweeted another 1-2-Switch video ‘Joy-Con Rotation’ here and a ‘Beach Flag’ video here.
● The Miitomo account also tweeted about problems users are experiencing after the recent update: they suggest restarting the app and/or clearing the cache in your phone settings. The MiitomoRPG Miitomo Drop stages have also returned for a couple of days.
● Seliph and Julia from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War and Ephraim and Eirika from Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones will be added to Fire Emblem Heroes shortly.
● And the Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary sale actually includes ten Wii games. Act quick as it ends after the weekend. See all the games here.
● That’s all for now but I’ll update this post if there’s any further news this weekend!
