All the week’s Japanese Nintendo news with Super Mario Run on mobile, nine new 3DS titles plus much more!

● Such a huge news week again. I’ll cover this in three sections. Firstly mobile: Super Mario Run was announced for iPhone and iPad for this December (Android will likely follow in the new year). Pokémon GO is also coming to Apple Watch before year end. Nintendo’s other two announced mobile games (Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem) will both release after Mario but before the new financial year (April). DeNA title number five (after Miitomo, Mario. Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem) will release in the next financial year.

● Several new 3DS games announced: Nippon Columbia will release Pika Pika Nurse Monogatari: Shonika wa Itsumo Osawagi on 10 November, Bandai Namco will release Heybot! Hebohebo! Heybot Tournament! on the eShop on 14 September, Arc System Works announced Escape Adventure 8 (no date and not the final title) and Flyhigh Works announced Urban Trial: Freestyle 2 for Spring 2017, Geki Yaba Runner: Habanero for early 2017, Quest of Dungeons for Winter 2016 and Subara City for Fall 2016.

● And in other news: the Famicom games MagMax and Double Dragon II: The Revenge will both release on the Wii U Virtual Console along with the digital mangas Keshikasu-kun Vol.007 and Grandpa Danger Vol.005 on the 3DS eShop, the 3DS Theme Shop saw a Rune Factory theme and others, Collectible Badge Center added Super Mario Maker and Yokai Watch 3 badges, Nintendo Co., Ltd. shares shot up almost 14% week-on-week and the official Nintendo LINE account reached over four million followers. Phew!
