Nintendo LINE account achieves 4 million followers
The official Nintendo LINE account which opened on 22 September 2015 and is run by Kinopio-kun has recently achieved 4 million followers (to put this into perspective: the Japanese Nintendo YouTube Channel has a little over 300,000 followers where-as the Japanese Twitter account has a little over 650,000).
The account is updated weekly promoting Nintendo’s franchises with pictures, videos, wallpaper and drawings. Followers can also interact with Kinopio-kun where he responds to certain words with text and/or pictures. The LINE store also sells official Animal Crossing, Super Mario, Kirby and Splatoon stickers.
