Pokémon GO financials, Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger game announced and more
● Analytics firm Sensor Tower have reported that Pokémon GO has surpassed $160m in total worldwide revenue (source). By my maths (please don’t report this as fact!) Nintendo’s percentage is $18,368,000 thus far. Sensor Tower also report that daily usage is still high in-spite of the recent negative update(s).
● The BBC have also reported that Japanese Olympic gymnast Kohei Uchimura has amassed a £3,700 ($5,000) mobile phone bill playing Pokémon GO (source)!
● In more Pokémon GO talk it is now down to number three on the Japanese iOS charts as the TestFlight app is now number two (Shironeko Tennis is still on top). It’s at two on the top grossing charts (behind Monster Strike and above Puzzle & Dragons).
● The final snippet of Pokémon GO news is the return of the battery saving function in the “not-too-distant-future” (source).
● Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger: Battle Cube Puzzle has been announced for Nintendo 3DS! It’s coming to the eShop on 7 September priced at ¥800 courtesy of Bandai Namco. I can’t wait! The teaser site has just opened up at http://zyuoh-game.bn-ent.net/
● The above pic is from a KING OF GAMES pop-up shop opening in Kyoto with the denim bag (minus Mario!) free with purchases ¥5,000 or over.
● Puzzle & Dragons decline on 3DS continues. The first game (Z) opened with well over half a million, the Mario edition opened with 177,000 with X barely reaching 100,000. The Mario edition really should have been a Battle Cats-esque ¥777 eShop release.
● The fourth trailer for Monster Hunter Stories here.
● New promo videos for 12 Sai ~Love Diary~ here and here.
● Check out the Weekly Famitsu scans on the front page as more have been added (and more will be!) and those that have, have been re-cropped (I uploaded initially whilst on the move so no access to my iMac). No issue next week (Obon) but the feature game the next issue will be Pokémon GO!
● That’s all for now but check back later for the latest Collectible Badge Center badges! As always, thanks for all the comments, re-blogs, likes, follows etc!
