Splatoon Water Gun announced

● Amazingly the above Splatoon Water Gun is coming to Japan on 18 July priced at ¥2,700.

● As part of the Super Robot Taisen 25th Anniversary: BX will be ¥7,171 → ¥5,378 from 23 March – 16 April on the 3DS eShop and UX will be ¥7,344 → ¥5,508.

Yokai Sangokushi is up for pre-load now on the eShop at ¥4,968 and is 6,580 blocks (yes, I bought it!).

● The third added map in Fire Emblem if is available from today. There is also a ¥2,000 pre-paid card. Some more themes are scheduled too.

● Speaking of themes: this week on the Theme Shop saw Finding! Ojipockle+, two Last Note, Assassination Classroom, Umetora, Nem feat. GUMI and Kagamine, Bakumatsu Patriot and three Panpaka Pants themes.

● Next week on the 3DS eShop sees Hello Kitty Wakuwaku Racing by Bergsala Lightweight at ¥864, Toki Tori 3D by Rainy Frog at ¥400. No 3DS Virtual Console games again for the second week.

● Wii U Virtual Console will see Cho Aniki (PC Engine) at ¥823, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team (GBA) at ¥702 and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team (NDS) at ¥950. Also out (in addition to Elliot Quest which was announced yesterday) is Astral Breakers by CrossFunction at ¥539.

● Finally, Eurogamer are reporting the death of Professor Layton puzzle master Akira Tago on 6 March at the age of 90 from pneumonia. Some of my favourite videogame puzzles came from Tago:-(
