● By far the biggest news of the week is the implementation of the Nintendo Account system for Japanese 3DS and Wii U owners. The Account can be linked to your Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and NNID and you can now buy games on Nintendo’s homepage (with ¥100 for each ¥1,000 spent until 1 February). 

● Some amazing numbers: Monster Hunter X has already shipped two million copies (retail and digital), the Yokai Watch series (1, 2 and Busters) has amassed over ten million in total sales and Denpa Ningen no RPG FREE! Had been downloaded 2.5 million times!

● Looks like the big Q1 game will be Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 3 which has been confirmed for 24 March 2016 release priced at ¥5,670 by Square Enix. Dragon Quest XI has still to be dated.

● Kemco announced they are porting the smartphone JRPG Alphadia to the Japanese 3DS eShop next week priced at ¥1,080. I’ve not played the original yet but it looks very 16-bit Final Fantasy-y.

● Three demos were added to the with Super Science Escape Gear Detective (30 plays), Air Traffic Controller Airport Hero 3D Kansai ALL STARS (5 plays) and Creative Alice and Prince! (5 plays).

● The Theme Shop last week saw, Mario Hanafuda, Mario White Christmas, Kotori Samba, A Clockwork Truffe, Ciao Illustrations Club, NemuNeko Friends ♪ ★ Merry Christmas ★, four Hatsune Miku Project Mirai and two Devil Survivor Overclocked themes.

● The latest update to Collectible Badge Center saw eight Christmas Animal Crossing panels, four Christmas Pokémon panels, two Tomodachi Collection food panels plus two free goes and a Christmas theme too if you spend ¥180.
