● In a surprise Tales of the Abyss is getting a Japanese eShop release from 3 December priced at ¥2,980 and all purchasers (until 4 January) entitled to a free Tales theme (pictured here) which otherwise will cost ¥100.
● Final Fantasy Explorers Light is now available at 2,236 blocks and as suspected unlimited plays.

● The Rodea the Sky Soldier website is now updated to Wii U and 3DS at http://rodea.jp and Prope have updated too – http://prope.jp/rodea/
● Hero Bank 2 will have a crossover with Pro Wrestling NOAH. Unfortunately this doesn’t mean as much as a crossover with New Japan or even All Japan back in the 80’s or 90’s but still kinda cool. Full details at http://herobank.sega.jp/3ds2/herogi/noah.html
● Yesterday’s Comgnet ratings saw Yokai Watch 2: Shinuchi close up at 860pts and Pokémon ORAS total 1410pts.
● Not at all Japanese related but Nintendo UK uploaded an awesome Tomodachi Life video of a Majora’s Mask song. Amazing! View it at http://youtu.be/sKRZNUFmvOo

● I updated the Charts page yesterday (see top left) with no changes in the All Bestsellers chart other than UNO overtaking Mario Calculator over in DSiWare land!
● Speaking of DSiWare: there is no longer a DSiWare section on the Japanese eShop (it is still searchable and thus buyable however).
● A couple of Super Mario school bags (pictured here). They’re absolutely tiny (about 9cm – I mean what kinda school bag is 9cm?!) and will cost ¥980 (+ tax) each.
● I reviewed Kumamon Othello here. Such a cheap release (although plays solidly). They even misspelt Silver Star (as Silvar Star) on the title screen!
I’ll add to this post if necessary throughout the day. Please send news tips to @iamnotagoomba
