● I don’t know what news made me happier: the return to the public platform of President Iwata or the announcement of a New 3DS and New 3DS LL!

● The New 3DS colours will be white or black (with Super Famicom controller colours) and the New 3DS LL will be in either metallic blue or metallic black.

● Other New 3DS LL designs will see a Monster Hunter 4G one as well as Super Smash Bros. (same design as the western ones but will be New).

● President Iwata also announced 38 Kisekae Covers (customisable face plates) for the New 3DS (not old nor either LL model) including Isabelle!

● Three games that won’t work with the New 3DS include the 3DS game Pokémon Tretta Lab, the DS game Starry Sky Navi and the DS TV Adapter.

● Certain games will only be compatible with the New 3DS models (think Game Boy to Game Boy Color), the first announced being Xenoblade Chronicles.

● Yoshifumi Hashimoto (of Marvelous is currently producing a new game that is not related to Rune Factory nor Forbidden Magna. Expect it for 3DS.

● Next week on the eShop will see Kasumon (Custom Monsters) from Collavier and Gardenscapes from Arc System Works for ¥800 and ¥700.

● Office Create announced their fourth 3DS Mama game with Cooking Mama: My Sweets Shop releasing on 6 November priced at ¥4,968.

● Square Enix have announced a Final Fantasy Explorers Ultimate Box with a case, game, soundtrack, art book, pouch and DLC priced at ¥14,400.

● Sonic Powered are releasing their third train simulation game for 3DS entitled Japan Railway! Hieizan Train Edition due on 23 October for ¥6,264.

● In other train news, Artdink announced Take The A-Train 3D Beginner’s Pack with a 184 page strategy guide on 13 November priced at ¥6,998.
