Nintendo have announced that the Nintendo Video service will close on 31 March 2014. The service began on 13 July 2011 and has been terribly underwhelming and almost pointless since the niconico and YouTube app releases.

In other news, Nintendo will also close The Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection from 20 May that affects both the NDS and Wii but will not affect the DS/DSi Browser and the DSi Shop.
